Tony Machado has been in the Real Estate Profession for nearly 25 years as a California State Certified Appraiser and as a Licensed Agent. Getting his start with Keller Williams Realty, Tony quickly moved up the ranks to become an Agent Mentor and Trainer while maintaining a personal sales volume that consistently ranked in the top 10% nationally. In November of 2019 Tony moved to eXp Realty, one of the World’s fastest growing brokerages, to take advantage of eXp’s cutting edge cloud-based platform, eXp World. eXp was founded in 2009 and now operates in 24 countries with a community of over 86,000 Real Estate professionals.

Tony holds a California Residential Real Estate Appraisers License and Certification. State Certification in the Appraisal Profession is the highest residential license obtainable. Tony owns a successful Real Estate Appraisal Business in Northern California providing appraisal products and services to a diverse clientele from Private Mortgage Companies and large Financial Institutions to Attorneys and Governmental Agencies. His expertise includes a myriad of appraisal specialties, appraisal review, purchase and refinance products, expert witness testimony, depositions, mediation, and arbitration. Although Real Estate sales is Tony’s primary focus, he maintains his Appraisal Certification with the California DRE.

Today, Tony’s primary focus is Real Estate Sales. At eXp, Tony is a top producing Agent and certified mentor- responsible for training mentee agents in becoming a top performer. This role includes everything from performing market analytics for establishing trends and pricing models, to ensuring that his mentees have a solid understanding of contracts and agreements they are ultimately responsible for.

John Van Bokkelen (click for bio)

John Van Bokkelen is well-versed in the fields of Business Law, Probate, Conservatorship and Trust Law, John R. Van Bokkelen founded Van Bokkelen Bonds & Insurance Agency in 1988 and quickly expanded the business throughout California. The primary focus of Van Bokkelen’s Agency was assisting Attorneys, their clients, and Professional Fiduciaries with securing both court and non-court required Surety Bonds in connection with all Probate, Estate Planning and Civil Litigation matters. In November 1998, Van Bokkelen Bonds & Insurance Agency purchased the Phil Simpson Agency. Based in Oakland, California, the Phil Simpson Agency has been in the surety business for nearly a century.

It was by and through John Van Bokkelen’s hard work ethic, knowledge of the Probate Courts, loyalty to his customer base and strategic planning, John opted to enter a California Statewide merger in May 2002, which brought together 5 of the largest competing Surety Bond Agencies in California to form one of the world’s largest agencies of its type.

During his 30 years in the Surety Bond business, John played a very integral part in negotiating contracts and agency agreements with some of the world’s largest Insurance Companies. John also assisted his clientele with matters pertaining to real estate bonding post court, and non-court, ordered sales of real property held in Decedents Estates, Conservatorship and Trusts.

After a very successful 30 years in the Surety Bond business, John decided to sell his partnership interest in the bonding agency in June 2015 and pursue his passion for real estate. John saw an opportunity to dedicate himself solely to assisting former and future clients with their real estate needs. Mr. Van Bokkelen is diligent in helping each one of his clients navigate through the sometimes-complex court system in preparing, marketing, listing, and selling real estate. He continues to work with many former Estate Planning Attorney clients, their clients, and Professional Fiduciaries.

Our Team provides many levels of service and expertise to assist our Probate Clients throughout the process of selling real property assets. Our goal is to help make the listing and selling of your property as seamless as possible for you and your loved ones. Listed below is a description of the most common services we provide. If there are special or unique circumstances, please let us know.
  • A current Comparable Market Analysis to provide guidance for establishing the list price of your property.
  • An assigned Transaction Coordinator.
  • Transaction Timelines that include a management system for keeping all parties up to date.
  • All “typical” real estate related services- home staging consultations, professional photography, full listing services, a comprehensive marketing strategy and secured property access.
  • Home cleanouts include interior and exterior packing and hauling away unwanted items.
  • Moving recommendations for the long haul or temporary safekeeping of personal belongings.
  • Home repairs from minor fixes to painting, electrical repairs, updating to “market ready” as well as minor renovations.
  • Out-of-the-area referrals to licensed Agents through our Brokerage. This allows us to continue to assist our clients when a move to another location is needed.
Note: Estimates for recommended vendor services are always coordinated with you and are provided up front for your approval. As the Administrator you have complete control over the choice and cost of the services that are selected. If you are not located in the State of California, these services will be very valuable to you throughout the administration process of your estate. We simply feel that it is our duty to help facilitate these services for our clients.
